As a launch engineer at SpaceX, Wilson Turner (panelist) is dedicated to making human life multiplanetary. He currently designs and builds new launch pad components, systems and architecture to support Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and Liquid Methane (LCH4) propellants. He was named an Astronaut Scholar by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation in 2022 while attending the University of Chicago, where he studied chemistry and molecular engineering, with a specialization in polymeric/soft materials engineering. As a chemist and engineer, his experience spans theoretical studies into polymeric self-assembly to applied electrochemical engineering and organic synthesis.
