Tracie Prater
Tracie Prater is in the habitation systems development office at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, where she is a technical monitor for NextSTEP Habitat, supports habitation formulation activities and partnerships, and is engaged in the systems engineering and integration team for habitation. She joined NASA in 2013 and was an engineer in the Materials and Processes Laboratory at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center from 2013-2021, where she supported advanced manufacturing research, in-space manufacturing, and the Centennial Challenges Program. She is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She has a Ph.D. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. in physics from Eastern Kentucky University.
