Dr. Sarah Georgin is a Project Engineer on the Strategic Foresight Team within the Center for Space Policy and Strategy at The Aerospace Corporation. Her work focuses on transforming the space and national security enterprise through application of disciplined methods to enhance decision-making under uncertainty. In her role, Sarah leads projects on strategy, innovation, foresight, and policy across a range of direct customer sets and external engagements through the policy center. Sarah has prior experience as part of a defense company’s corporate venture capital investing branch as well as with McKinsey & Co where she was a specialized consultant in the Aerospace and Defense practice primarily focusing on strategy and corporate finance. During her time at McKinsey, she also lead the development of analytics modeling/forecasting for the commercial space industry. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Astronautical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and MS and PhD degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
