Michael Killings

Deputy Director, Servicing, Mobility, and Logistics (SML), USSF

Lieutenant Colonel Killings serves as Deputy Director, Servicing, Mobility, & Logistics (SML) program office Space Systems Command, Assured Access to Space (AATS/AAA) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Florida. In this role, he leads execution of acquisition activities for the development of SML capabilities supporting envisioned USSPACECOM dynamic space and USSF point-to-point delivery operations. His team is responsible for creating combat integration pathways for emerging capability and technologies focused on bridging the gap between current terrestrial space force enhancement and future space domain-centric combat support/combat service support operations.  

Lieutenant Colonel Killings earned his commission and Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida serving 17 years in the U.S. Air Force before transitioning to the U.S Space Force in July 2021. Prior to his current position, he performed duties as the Space Launch Delta 45 Inspector General. His assignments have covered mission areas in space launch and national technical means operations, rapid and major system acquisitions, and Air Force Expeditionary deployment in support of U.S. Operation Freedom's Sentinel and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Resolute Support Mission.
