Mic Woltman
Mic Woltman has been with the Launch Services Program since 2000, initially as electrical/instrumentation engineer on Atlas/Centaur, Titan and Pegasus-XL launch vehicles. In 2004, he became the Delta IV risk mitigation engineer, which lead to his position of vehicle systems engineer for the Atlas/Centaur, Taurus and Pegasus-XL launch vehicles. In his current position, he has lead engineering teams in support of NASA missions, including the Mar Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), Pluto New Horizons, Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX), Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR) and most recently GOES-U, Psyche and Europa Clipper. From 1997 to 2000, Woltman served as instrumentation/telemetry lead engineer for Lockheed Martin Space Systems on the Atlas/Centaur program at Launch Complex 36, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.
A Florida native, Woltman graduated from Oakfield High School in Wisconsin in 1986. He completed a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookevile, Tenn., and also earned a master’s in engineering management from the University of Central Florida. He lives in Port St. John, Fla., with his wife Jobie and has three children: Taylor, Niclas and Mikayla.
