Maria Harney
Dr. Harney, an M.D. graduate from First Pavlov State Medical University in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, worked as a Psychiatrist at Psycho-Neurologic Hospital #6. After relocating to the United States, she collaborated with MMAARS, INC., completing five Analog Astronaut missions and contributing to over 10 research projects in space medicine. Her focus areas include mental health and human factors. She also oversees the use of exponential technologies during analog missions. Dr. Harney is a frequent speaker at prestigious conferences and founded her non-profit S.T.E.A.M. for Humanity Foundation that focuses on STEM disciplines and educational initiatives. Additionally, she serves as the secretary of the Life Sciences and Biomedical Engineering Branch within the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA). Dr. Harney’s dedication to service and commitment to supporting the community, especially during times of crisis, is demonstrated through her service in the Air National Guard at the 146th Airlift Wing in Channel Islands, California.
