Julian Moreno
Julian Moreno (panelist), a Marine Corps Veteran turned engineer, is committed to contributing innovative ideas to keep the U.S. on the leading edge of technology. He specializes in guidance, navigation and control (GN&C), as well as modeling and simulation for both endo-atmospheric and exo-atmospheric vehicles. As a GN&C engineer for GuideTech, Julian provides solutions for autonomous systems for a variety of projects. He has contributed to the success of Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser by providing various modeling and simulation teams, while other projects have looked into low-cost pre-integrated avionics solutions for a variety of different systems. Julian has also contributed to research related to the increase in air transportation density in urban air environments, and how vertical takeoff vehicles can provide robust solutions. He was named an Astronaut Scholar by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation in 2021 while attending the University of Kansas, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2022.
