Jeff Hessel
Jeff Hessel, BS Mechanical Engineering graduate of City College of New York (CCNY), started working at Cape Canaveral in the late 1960's during the height of the Space Race and time of the Apollo Program. He was employed by the Aerospace Services Division of Pan American World Airways which managed and maintained the Eastern Test Range including Cape Canaveral. They supported all military, national security, commercial and NASA launches including fueling, communications and telemetry. His lecture includes its history, some little known facts and his own experiences. It has been presented to numerous communities, clubs, organizations, colleges and STEM programs. He is currently working on a book based on the early days of the space program.
