Dr. Joe Guarisco has deep experience in managing paramedic supported medical services and has led topside medical and telehealth clinical support for drilling and production operations in the Gulf of Mexico for the oil and gas industry for 30 years. He began his offshore medical work in 1980 with Medic Systems based in Lafayette Louisiana followed by topside support for Beason Medical Systems headquartered.in Anchorage Alaska and most recently International SOS in Houston Texas.  The topside support with International SOS now extends beyond traditional offshore oil and gas to include transoceanic shipping, offshore wind farms and space technology working with SpaceX supporting space assest recoveries on both East and West coasts. Managing remote medical services during deep ocean high risk space asset recovery missions provides unique challenges.
