Derrick Bailey is the Launch Vehicle Certification Manager for NASA’s Launch Services Program (LSP).  Mr. Bailey is responsible for development and execution of risk-based certification approaches to expand the portfolio of launch services available to NASA’s scientific spacecraft community.  Through these efforts Mr. Bailey is regularly engaged with new and existing launch vehicle providers in addition to partners within NASA, the United States Space Force, and the National Reconnaissance Office.    

Prior to this role, Mr. Bailey held a variety of engineering roles spanning manned and unmanned launch vehicles, ground systems, and spacecraft processing.
