Cole Nielsen is the Founder and CTO at Orbital Composites. He has dual degrees in Space Systems Engineering Physics and Computational Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. As a teenager, Cole got informal training by volunteering at Stanford Mentors Group where he learned from the veterans of Semiconductor Industry as well as Stanford Professor Bob Twiggs, known as the “father of the CubeSat”. While there, he got to work on several Stanford student projects for ARLISS program – helping design rockets and their payloads. Fun fact about Cole is that he is pro-level drone pilot and has designed and built >50 unique drones.
