Alicia Baker
Alicia Contreras-Baker graduated from the University of Houston with her Bachelors in Electrical Engineering after transferring from MIT, where she took Engineering foundation coursework. Alicia has worked for NASA Johnson Space Center as both a Civil Servant intern and as a Contractor Engineer whenever she could since she was 16 years old. She has worked with Jacobs Technology at NASA’s Johnson Space center since 2017. She has worked her way from a Project/Test Engineer to an Engineering Project Manager for the xPLSS/xEMU team. Alicia was the Jacobs Project Manager for recent xEMU Thermal Vacuum Testing. She is one of the Jacobs Project Managers working to prepare JSC facilities for xEVAs spacesuit testing.
Alicia is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She is starting her MBA this Spring at the University of Houston Clear Lake and plans to concentrate in the Commercialization of Space.
