Alec is the President of Velocity Exploration, Designer, Creative Technologist, and Digital Strategist out of Melbourne, FL. Alec received a B.S. in Creative Technologies from Berry College and a M.S. in Creative Technologies and Design from the University of Colorado. Having worked for small startups and DoD contractors, he applies his knowledge of user centered design fundamentals in a variety of different contexts ranging from hardware design, software design, and digital strategy. Alec has successfully assisted in the optimization of numerous DoD innovation organizations, including SLD 45’s Forge SPARK Cell and PMS 397L’s Project Blue. He has conducted extensive UX research throughout the DoD investigating the barriers to adoption for emerging technologies, existing commercial solutions, and bespoke DoD tools and platforms.
