General Information

  1. When and where is SpaceCom 2018?

    SpaceCom 2018 will take place November 27-28, on Level 3 of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

  2. Is there a mobile app for the conference?

    Yes! We’re pleased to provide a personalized experience for attendees with the enhanced SpaceCom Mobile App, available for download from your mobile device’s app store. The app will allow you navigate SpaceCom easily with features to help you make the most of your time in Houston. To learn more, please click here.

  3. Is there a business center at the Convention Center?

    Yes, the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center is located on Mezzanine Level 2 of the Convention Center, and includes services such as copying, signage, packing, and shipping.

  4. What meals are included with the conference registration?

    Networking continental breakfasts for all  conference attendees and lunch in the exhibit hall will be served on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition, each day will include a morning and afternoon refreshment break.

    NOTE: If you have special dietary requirements, please contact info@spacecomexpo.com. Your comfort and enjoyment of the conference is important to us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs with substitute/alternate food options.

  5. Where is Lost and Found onsite?

    For items lost or found, please visit the Show Management Office near the exhibitor services center in the Exhibit Hall. You can also call the convention center main security station to inquire about a lost item at 713-853-8087.

  6. Where is First Aid onsite?

    For minor medical needs, there is a First Aid booth in the rear of the exhibit hall near the exhibitor services center.

    NOTE: In the event of a medical, fire, or other emergency, locate a security guard for immediate assistance or call 713-853-8087 to reach the security dispatch office; do not call 911. The security team will contact and direct emergency services to the exact location of the emergency faster with their detailed knowledge of the building.

  7. What is the dress code for the conference?

    Although there is no formal dress code at SpaceCom, we suggest business casual. Note that meeting room temperatures can vary; layered clothing may ensure your personal comfort.

  8. Where can I park at the Convention Center?

  9. Where can I find out about things to do while visiting Houston?

    The Explore Houston! desk is located on Mezzanine Level 2 across from the Hilton Skybridge offering unique Houston related gifts as well as useful information about local attractions. Visit in person or reach the desk at 713-853-8258. Or visit the SpaceCom travel page to plan ahead.

  10. Where can I get coffee?

    Starbucks is located on Level 2 of the convention center across from the Hilton Skybridge. Our networking breaks in the morning and afternoon will also include coffee.

  11. Is there Wi-Fi in the Convention Center?

    Complimentary Wi-Fi is offered throughout the convention center in all public space.

  12. What kind of sustainability efforts does the convention center participate in?

Registration Information

  1. How do I register for SpaceCom?

    Go directly to the registration form (also accessible via the register button on the top right corner of the SpaceCom homepage. To views fees prior to registering, visit the registration pricing page.

  2. When does registration open onsite?

    Onsite registration will begin on Monday, November 26 at 7:00 a.m.

  3. How do I obtain a visa letter of invitation?

    Visa Letters can be obtained during registration. Once you change your address to an international country, a pop-up box will appear asking if you need a visa letter. Fill in the necessary information and the letter will be mailed once you complete the registration process.

  4. Is there a penalty for substitutions?

    There is no penalty for substitutions! Please submit all requests to Carol Franklin at cfranklin@ntpevents.com.

  5. What form of payment can I use to register for the conference?

    Preshow only credit cards will be accepted. Onsite, cash and credit cards will be accepted.

  6. What is included in the different registration packages, and what are the costs?

    Please visit the Registration Pricing page for the different packages and cost.

  7. What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations must be made in writing. SpaceCom 2018 cancellations will be accepted through Friday, October 26, 2018. No refunds will be accepted or processed after October 26, 2018. If for any reason, SpaceCom is cancelled or postponed, SpaceCom is not responsible for covering airfare and/or other travel costs incurred by clients.

  8. When will I receive my registration confirmation?

    You will receive your registration confirmation immediately after your registration is completed. If you do not, please check your spam folder. If your confirmation is still not received please contact Experient to ensure your registration was completed.

  9. Will I receive my badge prior to SpaceCom?

    Badges for Spacecom will NOT be mailed. You can pick up your badge at registration beginning on Monday, November 26th.

  10. I lost my badge onsite. Can I get it reprinted?

    Yes, badges can be reprinted onsite for $25.

  11. Are children permitted to attend the show floor?

    No one under the age of 18 is permitted at SpaceCom.

  2. What is included in the standard booth package?

    Each standard booth will include a 8’ post and fabric drape panel backdrop with 3’ side divider drape rails, and a company ID sign without charge.

  3. Are there any restrictions on what I can include in my booth?
    • Exhibitors are prohibited from using excessive sound amplifying equipment in their booth
    • Exhibitors are prohibited from using strolling entertainment or from distributing samples or souvenirs except from within their own booths
    • Exhibitors who use costumed models or entertainers should be sure that their manner of appearance and dress is such as to not offend even the most critical
    • Exhibitors must comply with all additional safety provisions and regulations as noted in the Exhibitor Service Manual and as required by show management, the facility and Fire Marshal
  4. How do I order my booth services (electric/furniture/carpet/shipping/catering)?

    The Exhibitor Service Manual (ESM) contains all information on how to order equipment and services for your booth, including furniture, electricity, catering, a/v, signage, etc. Order early to receive discount pricing! The ESM can be found here.

  5. Where can I find my login information to the exhibitor portal?

    This information is listed in your emailed booth confirmation letter as well as your booth statement.

  6. How do I register my booth personnel, and how many badges to I receive?

    Click on the Register link within the exhibitor portal, and search for your company name. Use your exhibitor password found in your booth confirmation letter and your booth space to log in. Five (5) complimentary exhibitor registration badges are allotted for the first 10’ x 10’ (100 sq. ft) of exhibit space. Two (2) additional complimentary exhibitor registration badges will be allotted per 100 sq. ft. Ex: 200 sq. ft. will receive seven (7) badges, etc. Additional exhibitor registration badges may be purchased for $50 each.

  1. Where and how can I make hotel reservations for SpaceCom?

    SpaceCom has partnered with the Marriott Marquis to provide discounted hotel rooms for SpaceCom attendees. Please see the hotel/travel page for detailed information on how to make your reservation.

 

Travel Information

  1. How far is the airport to the convention center?

    The GRB is approximately 10 miles from William P. Hobby (HOU) Airport and approximately 20 miles from George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport. For more information on the Houston Airport System please visit www.fly2houston.com.
