30 Jan 2025

SpaceCom | Space Congress: On-Orbit Logistics

As space becomes an increasingly contested and congested environment, the United States must enhance its Space Domain Awareness (SDA) to maintain its strategic advantage and ensure national security. This session will explore how emerging technologies and integrated commercial capabilities are transforming SDA, providing the U.S. and its allies with superior awareness and deterrence in space operations.

Speakers will discuss how innovations in AI, machine learning, and modern manufacturing are enabling rapid advancements in commercial SDA, delivering more cost-effective and capable solutions. By leveraging these advancements, the U.S. Space Force’s Commercial Space Strategy aims to move beyond simply augmenting capabilities to fully integrating commercial innovations for increased situational awareness and responsiveness. The panel will also highlight how adopting a comprehensive SDA approach allows for a clearer understanding of potential threats, ensuring that the U.S. and its allies remain prepared and effective in safeguarding their interests in an era of Great Power Competition.
